Kamaru Usman, the former UFC welterweight champion, has shared his ambitious plans for the current year. He wants to beat Makhachev, take revenge on Chimaev, and retire.
“In 2026, I want people to say, 'Wow, I can't believe you did it. You not only won one title but took two and retired.' Of course, starting with the welterweight, since I don't think I could have won the second without the UFC welterweight belt. I'm still in the 77 kg category, so why not start there?” Usman's words are quoted by the Sportskeeda portal.
