Velasquez Goes Free

Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez is going free today.

"After my release on February 15th, I am considering hosting a one-day holotropic breathing workshop in San Jose, which will also include a Q&A; session," wrote the heavyweight on social media.

Recall that in February 2022, Cain Velasquez pursued a car in which Harry Goularte was seated—a man accused of molesting the fighter's son in kindergarten. The former UFC champion fired several shots at the vehicle, but ultimately Goularte's stepfather was injured, sustaining a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.

He was sentenced to five years in prison, subtracting the three years he spent in custody and under house arrest following his detention.
