Daniel Cormier, former two-division UFC champion, now commentator and analyst, approved the promotion's decision to leave Arman Tsarukyan out of the title fight.
"The unification bout between Topuria and Gaethje deserves to be part of such a big card as the tournament at the White House. UFC organized a fight between Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje, and if Pimblett had won, we would have had a star who would fight Ilia for the title. Justin Gaethje won, and now we have an American with an interim title, and the fight at the White House will be held in June.
