Javier Mendes, head coach of the AKA gym, commented on Justin Gaethje's decision to engage in a brawl during a fight with Max Holloway.
“Max Holloway pointed to the center of the octagon, Max said: 'Let's go.' Justin Gaethje said: 'Let's go.' Foolish. It was great for the fans, but as a strategy—no. I would have said, 'Okay, we’ll meet there'—and would have taken him to the ground,” Mendes said.
Recall, Holloway then knocked out Gaethje at the very end of the fifth round of their confrontation.
