The top UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan shared his impressions of the interim title fight in his division between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett, which took place today, January 25, at UFC 324 in Las Vegas, USA.
Let's recall that Gaethje won by unanimous decision after five rounds.
"I told everyone right away that Justin would win by decision. I did not understand what Paddy was counting on and what his plan was. He wanted to box with Gaethje, but he wasn't good enough in the stand-up, and he couldn't take Justin to the ground. Pimblett is a trash fighter with a good chin.
Paddy is not a top-tier fighter, but Justin went the distance with him. He won't be able to do that against Topuria. If I fought Gaethje, I would have choked him in the second round. He's no longer at his career peak; he was a different fighter 3–4 years ago. Now he's aging, and he only has a couple of fights left before retiring," Tsarukyan stated.
