Retired American mixed martial artist Urijah Faber expressed the opinion that Spanish-Georgian Ilia Topuria is capable of becoming the first triple champion in UFC history.
Previously, "El Matador" held the title in the promotion's featherweight division and now holds the belt in the lightweight category.
"I would say that Ilia Topuria—with his skills, he seems to have some incredible power that could be useful in heavier weight categories," Faber said in an interview with The Schmo YouTube channel.
Recall that the 28-year-old Topuria took a forced break in his career due to personal problems related to a difficult divorce process.
