The titled British mixed martial arts veteran, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping believes that the former bantamweight titleholder Merab Dvalishvili should take a break from his career.
Last weekend at UFC 323, the Georgian lost by unanimous decision to Petr Yan and lost the belt.
"To be honest, Merab deserves a rematch. Just look at the amount of work he has done. But there is still Umar Nurmagomedov among the contenders. And here's what I'll say: let Petr Yan defend his title for now. Take a break, brother. Rest. You have already done incredible things.
Undoubtedly, you have earned a huge amount of money. You represented your country at the highest level and did it with dignity. Now rest for three to five months, bask in the glory. Reap the benefits of your wealth. Let your body and mind relax a little. And then come back to reclaim the throne again," Bisping said in a release on his YouTube channel.
