Top UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan spoke about the appointment of an interim title fight in his division between Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett.
It was previously announced that the Briton and the American will fight on January 24 at the UFC 324 tournament in Las Vegas, USA.
"Why didn't they give the title shot? I think this is a UFC plan, not some family issues [with Topuria]. They want to make Paddy Pimblett a star, leading him to a title fight with Topuria as a more renowned name.
They know I can beat everyone. Paddy is an easy job, Justin is an easy job, Ilia is an easy job. Islam was a tough job, but he's gone, so now there's no one at my level in this division," Tsarukyan said in an interview with ESPN.
