Famous Spanish journalist and insider Alvaro Colmenero stated that UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria is likely to return to the octagon no earlier than spring next year.
"A lot has changed, there are some personal issues. You will be very surprised how everything will play out in the lightweight division. I confirm that Ilia will not fight in January. I'm also doubtful about February. I think Ilia will have his next fight in spring.
The top of the lightweight division will change, but I doubt that Arman Tsarukyan is a candidate for a fight with Topuria in the spring or summer of 2026," wrote Colmenero on X.
Let us remind you that Topuria earned the lightweight title in June by knocking out Charles Oliveira.
