Makhachev regrets not moving to welterweight earlier

“I won the belt, felt my weight and knew I could move up the category and maintain weight correctly. I always thought I would feel comfortable there, that I wouldn’t have to cut so much weight. And that’s exactly what happened in the last fight—I was not smaller than my opponent, we were in the same physical condition. All conditions were equal. And there was even a bit of regret about why I didn’t move up in weight class earlier, instead of cutting weight for so long.”
