The top Irish UFC welterweight Ian Garry said that if the promotion appoints him as the next opponent for champion Islam Makhachev, he will hold his training camp in Georgia.
"I will come to Georgia because Georgia has phenomenal wrestling, phenomenal judo, phenomenal sambo, and when I prepare for an opponent like Islam Makhachev, I will need all of this. So, Georgia, I'm reaching out to you guys—I will need your help to deal with him. So every left-handed wrestler, everyone who thinks they are stylistically similar to Islam Makhachev—I will reach out to you for help. With my friends in Georgia, we have to stop the Dagestanis. We will take off Makhachev's head," Garry stated.
Recall that yesterday at the UFC Fight Night 265 tournament in Doha, Qatar, Garry won by points against Belal Muhammad.
