Dustin Poirier, former interim UFC lightweight champion, gave advice to Jack Della Maddalena ahead of his fight with Islam Makhachev.
"Yes, go for the guillotine! Seriously though, try to keep the fight in the center of the octagon, stay away from the cage. Looking back, I realize that I was so worried about his wrestling that I couldn't throw my combinations, I couldn't move properly. I was concerned about his takedowns. I didn't do what I do best. Jack just needs to not get in his own way and fight in his own style."
