Sterling suggested introducing an interim belt in the UFC heavyweight division

Aljamain Sterling, former UFC bantamweight champion, suggested introducing an interim title in the heavyweight division.

"A fight for the interim title—is the most logical decision while Aspinall heals from his injury. Only Acosta knows how to lift the curse of defeats after an eye poke. Show us the path, chosen one."

Recall that not so long ago Tom Aspinall, the current UFC heavyweight champion, received a double eye poke from Cyril Gane and could not continue the fight, which was ultimately declared a no contest.
