Justin Gaethje wants to meet in the next fight with Ilia Topuria, the UFC lightweight champion.

“My next fight... I intend, whenever it happens, to fight Ilia Topuria. I hoped that I would be given a fight with him in January, but... now I don’t think it will happen. The question is when Ilia will fight again. I don’t think anyone knows about this except him and his team.

The best scenario is if this fight is included in the tournament at the White House. I don’t understand why this fight hasn’t been put on this card. He is a champion, very popular, and I am an American. I deserve this no less than others in lightweight.”
