Harun Ozkan, coach of Reinier De Ridder, commented on the decision to withdraw his fighter after the fourth round of the fight with Brendan Allen.
"My job is to be a coach and also to take care of my fighter's health. I have been with Reinier for almost his entire career and I saw too many reasons to intervene. If I hadn't done this, he would have continued the fight. And instead of taking unnecessary damage, I made the decision to stop the fight and go home as healthy as possible. And live to fight another day," Ozkan wrote on social media.
