American middleweight UFC Brendan Allen, after defeating Renier De Ridder in the main event of UFC Fight Night 262, challenged division champion Khamzat Chimaev.

"It was great to do what I promised. I'm a monster of a different level, and thanks to my team. They invest in my strengths and weaknesses. They have changed me. We trained for this fight for 3.5 weeks, and when I have the right mindset, I'm the best in the world. Chimaev, you want a strong grappler? Young and hungry. Let's go. If not, then Dricus, where are you? I've wanted to fight you for a long time. If not, then Sean Strickland. It's time for a rematch," said the American.
