“He knocked me out with a kick to the back of the head — it’s a direct hit to the brain and, as a result, a brain injury. I remember hearing a sound like “chzzzzzz.” Everything around me seemed to turn upside down. I thought: “Nooooo.” I immediately realized what was happening. Everything was like in a fog, there were strange sounds, but I somehow knew what had happened. So I tried to pull myself together and defend myself, but I couldn’t — my hands wouldn’t listen to me,” Volkanovski’s words are quoted by the Middle Easy portal.
