Garry – on the fight between Muhammad and Maddalena: “Both appeared slow to me”

Top UFC welterweight Ian Garry shared his impressions of the fight between Jack Della Maddalena and Belal Muhammad.

On May 11 at UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada, Della Maddalena defeated Muhammad by unanimous decision and became the new champion in the welterweight division.

“When I watched their fight live, they both seemed slow to me. Then I looked at the recording on TV, and the difference was huge. Jack looked precise and quick compared to Muhammad. But judging by my standards, there were many moments where he didn’t look that great in terms of technique.

However, Jack is definitely better in striking than Belal, so he could not lose in any way. Belal has never been known for his striking,” Garry is quoted by BJ Penn.
