Whittaker reacted to the announcement of the fight with de Ridder

Robert Whittaker, former UFC champion, spoke about the upcoming fight with Reinier de Ridder.

“Yes, he is not in the top 10, but he has just beaten Bo Nickal. So I think this is a great fight. He held two titles in ONE, he is definitely a tough opponent. I am sure he will soon be included in the top 10 of the division. We will have the main event of the evening and five rounds of fighting — that’s always fun. My kids and I love it when my face is on posters. I am looking forward to the moment when I can enter the cage and secure a victory. I don’t want to perform forever. I think I still have a couple of years left, and I want to end this story beautifully. I would like to win the title and walk into the sunset as a champion. This is the dream I strive to fulfill,” said Whittaker to MMA Fighting.
