Israel Adesanya, former UFC middleweight champion, recalled his fight against Kelvin Gastelum.
“I understood that this was my moment, I’ve said this many times, people think I’m joking, but I was ready to die. And what a glorious death it would have been, what a departure! But if I’m ready to die, then I’m also ready to kill.
It’s hard to finish Kevin. It’s hard to shake him, I remember that, you hit him and he doesn’t fall. He has willpower, he doesn’t stop... Before each round, he would shake his hands and look at me. And I knew he wouldn’t back down,” Adesanya said on the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru & Cejudo.
