The renowned mixed martial arts veteran Yoel Romero shared his thoughts on the transition of former UFC champion Ilia Tepuria from featherweight to lightweight.
“Tepuria was very strong in featherweight, and in the lightweight division, he will be practically unbeatable. How much does he weigh between fights? 82 kg? If he can cut from 82 kg to 66 kg and then recover, imagine how he will be in the weight category up to 70 kg with the same speed, reaction, and endurance. The time has come for Ilia. He is someone who will be very difficult to defeat in lightweight,” said Romero in his podcast.
Recall that last week Tepuria announced the start of a training camp. According to rumors, he will compete at UFC 317, which will take place at the end of June in Las Vegas.
