White: "The fight between Chimaev and Du Plessis is scheduled, but..."

UFC CEO Dana White reported that the fight between the promotion’s middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev is confirmed, but will not take place at the UFC 317 tournament in June as previously expected.

"Yes, yesterday I announced several fights, but it was not among them. We all know that the fight between Chimaev and Du Plessis will take place, but not during the International Fight Week. The match is scheduled, but it will happen in a different location," White stated at the press conference.

Let us remind you that earlier there were rumors that Du Plessis suffered an injury and would be out for an extended period. Later, the champion denied this information.
