Topuria: "Was very happy for Volkanovski when he beat Lopez"

Former UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria commented on Alexander Volkanovski's win over Diego Lopez.

The Australian defeated the Brazilian by unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 314 in Miami, USA, and captured the vacant belt.

"Alex is an amazing fighter. I was very happy for him when he beat Lopez because he really deserved the title," Topuria said on the prompt of Joe Rogan.

Recall that Topuria relinquished the title in February and announced his move to the lightweight division.
