Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria reacted to the reluctance of lightweight division belt holder Islam Makhachev to accept a bout with him.

"I don't want to fight for the title challenger. I don't care if Islam doesn't want to fight me. He's going to have to face me. You said yourself that champions don't look at the name of the opponent. You want to call yourself a champion and dominate the division. Here I am! You're not going to be able to avoid me indefinitely," Topuria said in an interview with Joe Rogan.
