Georgian UFC middleweight Roman Dolidze assessed the balance of power in a potential fight between division champion Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
It was previously reported that the South African and the UAE-based Chechen could meet at UFC 317, which is scheduled for late July in Las Vegas, USA.
"Hamzat is very gifted. He can punch powerfully and always works himself to the limit. He and I are similar in our stand-up work - we try to deliver only strong punches. But Chimaev is the best middleweight fighter, he is at the highest level. Although I wouldn't say he's the most technical fighter on the floor, he has enough skills to beat anyone.
If Chimaev manages to put Du Plessis down - and I believe he can - then within the first two rounds, Hamzat will have the advantage. But if the fight lasts longer - Du Plessis will take the win," Dolidze told Home of Fight.
