Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira criticized featherweight division belt holder Elijah Topuria, who previously announced he was moving up to the 70-pound class.
"I've been in the UFC for 15 years and I've never spoken ill of anyone. And Topuria has spoken disrespectfully about me. I just want to remind you that there is no division in the UFC more competitive than the lightweight division. And I've been in the lightweight division for years. I know what it's like, and I also know what I'm good at.
Topuria should have been quieter, stepping into the lightweight division more cautiously. Because there are a lot of guys in our division that deserve respect," Oliveira told Ag. Fight.
