The Spaniard, who vacated the UFC featherweight title to move up to the 155-pound weight class, will now be called not "El Matador" but "La Leyenda," which translates to "The Legend."
"El Matador is a nickname that has accompanied me throughout my athletic career, my whole journey, and it led me to my new nickname. I always repeat: you have to believe me. You have to see to believe. I believe first and then I see. Therefore, the nickname that will accompany me in the next fights is La Leyenda", - said Topuria at a press conference in Toledo.
Recall that Topuria had two fights last year, knocking out Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway.
