Brady expects to beat Rakhmonov

Shawn Brady, the UFC's top welterweight, expects to surpass Rakhmonov in the title race if he beats Edwards.

"For me, it's a fight for the title of number one contender. I'm not saying the winner will be the next title fight, but the possibility exists. The top of the division is stalled - Shavkat is out and Jack is fighting Belal. So, a lot can happen, but I'll definitely be one step closer to a title fight if I win. If I beat Leon and I have to make one more fight, that's fine, I'll do it. If I get a title shot right away - even better. Shawkat has an injury and there's no telling when he'll be back. Besides, his fight against Ian Garry showed he's no boogeyman but a regular man and his stock has sagged a bit."
