Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan highlighted Magomed Ankalaev's performance in his bout against Alex Pereira.
"People didn't like it because it wasn't some crazy result, like a flashy knockout like Pereira's fights often are. But Ancalaev was very technical and did a fantastic job of neutralizing the most dangerous guy in the division. It was very interesting because exchanging punches with Pereira is fraught with very serious consequences, but you can't forget that Ancalaev has knocked out a lot of fighters too. We always think of Pereira's knockouts, but Ancalaev has knocked out some of the best guys in the division."
