Pereira's coach: 'Ancalaev dug himself a hole'

Plinio Cruz, the mentor of former UFC bantamweight champion Alex Pereira, expressed confidence that his mentee will be able to get a rematch with new titleholder Magomed Ankalaev.

"We grow when we have an opponent. We will learn from all the mistakes we made and present a better version of Alex. Ancalaev has dug himself a hole as he will face Pereira 2.0 in the rematch. This has happened to Alex before. The true champion continues to move forward. Next time he will go into the octagon more angry," - quotes Cruz MMA Fighting.

Recall that Pereira lost to Ankalaev on points in the main event of UFC 313 in Las Vegas, USA.
