Tom Aspinall, interim UFC heavyweight champion, commented on Pereira's loss to Ancalaev.
"Fighting Alex Pereira at heavyweight is no longer an option for Jon Jones. I think he can still fight him in the welterweight division, but it won't be a title fight anymore. Jon, there's only one option here, buddy - sign the contract, and let's set a date. We all saw Dana White talking about it yesterday. John's side is now settled, and all the UFC has left to do is pick a date, a venue and a location. So we're waiting. Hopefully there will be some good news soon."
