Already former UFC bantamweight champion Alex Pereira made a statement following his loss to newly crowned titleholder Magomed Ankalaev in the main event of UFC 313 in Las Vegas, USA.

"I expected war, every fight I have is a war. Ankalaev's pressing? Yes, he had it great in the second round when he caught me with good punches, but in the other moments when he pressed me against the net, he didn't do much. We had a good strategy, knew he was pinning his opponents against the cage. Of course, it's not the most spectacular style, but if it brings wins, of course, other fighters notice it and start to follow this style more often.

There were moments when I punched him at the cage, but because he was pressing, it was to his advantage. I'll keep training, I'm fine. It was a tough fight but I feel good, no injuries. I'll rest for a couple of days and go back to training. This is my life," Pereira said after the fight.

Recall that Pereira lost to Ankalaev by unanimous decision of the judges.
