Gatji: "It would be ideal to defeat Fiziev early and beautifully"

Former UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje believes a striking victory over Rafael Fisieff will put him in position as one of the top contenders for the title.

The American and the Azerbaijani will meet at UFC 313 on the night of March 9 in Las Vegas, USA.

"It would be ideal to win early and beautifully. If I manage to perform spectacularly, it will give me leverage with the UFC to get the fight with Makhachev. A good win will put me in that position. And the UFC realizes that too, since I was supposed to fight Hooker. I will go into the octagon and show my maximum. Fiziev is very dangerous and hungry. The fight will be awesome," Gaethje told TMZ Sports.
