Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker commented on Elijah Topuria's decision to leave the featherweight title vacant and move up to the lightweight division.
"From the looks of it, Elijah had a very difficult time making weight. I don't think he'll have a problem with power at a heavier weight, so kudos to him for that decision. Honestly, when he beat Holloway and Volkanovski, Topuria cemented his dominance at featherweight," Whittaker said on the MMArcade podcast.
The Georgian-born Spaniard is expected to make his debut at the new weight in the summer.
