Roach commented on the controversial draw with Davis

American Lamont Roach, the WBA world champion in the second welterweight division, summarized the results of the fight with the holder of the same title, but a division higher, star compatriot Gervonta Davis.

Roach and Davis parted ways in peace (115-113 and 114-114 twice) in the main event of an evening of boxing in New York, USA.

"I knew I could compete with Tank. This was my chance and I showed that I'm worthy of being at this level. I'm not going to stop, I need a rematch or a top fight to prove that I can be a champion at the new weight," Roach said after the fight.
