Whittaker: "If Chimaev doesn't stop Du Plessis early in the fight, Dricus will win"

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has spoken out about a possible fight between the division's current titleholder, Dricus Du Plessis, and Khamzat Chimaev.

"I don't believe anyone can stop Chimaev's kickdowns. His wrestling and grappling are at a super-high level. Only one question comes to mind: can Du Plessis make it to the later rounds? Can he endure Chimaev's wrestling and then start capitalizing on his persistence? Honestly, if Chimaev doesn't win early in the fight, Du Plessis will win," Whittaker told Submission Radio.
