White: "Rakhmonov will be the first in line for a title fight"

UFC CEO Dana White said undefeated welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov has not lost his position as the top contender for the belt.

Yesterday, it was revealed that the reigning champion in the division, Belal Muhammad, will make his title defense against Jack Della Meddalena on May 10 at UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada.

"We tried several times to organize a fight between Shavkat Rakhmonov and Belal Muhammad. But now Shavkat is injured. But as soon as Rakhmonov recovers, he'll be back and obviously first in line to fight the winner of the Belal and Maddalena fight," White said in an Instagram video.
