Undefeated Kazakhstani UFC welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov explained why he had to forfeit his bout with division champion Belal Muhammad in May.
It was previously announced that Muhammad will face Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC 315, scheduled for May 10 in Montreal, Canada.
"Thank you so much to the UFC for offering me to fight for the belt first. Unfortunately, due to injury, I won't be ready for May. I will meet the winner later this year," Rakhmonov wrote in X.
