Muhammad and Della Maddalena's fight will headline UFC 315 in Canada

Belal Muhammad will make his welterweight title defense debut against Jack Della Maddalena in the main event of UFC 315, scheduled for May 10 in Montreal, Canada. UFC CEO Dana White made the announcement during a video broadcast on Instagram.

In the second most important fight, Valentina Shevchenko will put her flyweight belt on the line against Manon Fioro. In addition, the main card will also feature Gilbert Burns vs. Michael Morales.

Muhammad's opponent on the upcoming show was expected to be Shavkat Rakhmonov, but the Kazakhstani was unable to take the fight due to injury.
