UFC featherweight champion Alexandre Pantoja has expressed a desire to fight higher division titleholder Merab Dvalishvili.
"I want to fight Merab and take the second title. It would be cool if I was given that opportunity. I've been hinted about it by other people, I like the idea. I have a chance to become a double champion!
Against Merab would be even easier for me than against Sean O'Malley. He said a lot of nasty things, but in the case of Merab, I'm ready for his style. We're both wrestlers. If he moves me to the parterre, I'll know how to proceed. I've already asked for a fight at UFC 314 in Miami," the Brazilian said on the Fight Bananas Show podcast.
Recall that Pantoja finished Kai Asakura in his last fight, which took place in December.
