UFC CEO Dana White commented on former promotion's lightweight champion Dominick Cruz's decision to call it quits.

"He's going to have a great career after his athletic career. I'm amazed he's lasted this long. I mean, who has been more injured than this guy? I'm glad he's finally hanging the gloves on the nail," DAZN quoted White as saying.

Recall, the 29-year-old Cruz announced his retirement from the sport earlier this month. "The Dominator" was scheduled to face Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 252, scheduled for February 22, but pulled out due to injury.
