Topuria: "I know exactly how the second fight with Volkanovski will turn out"

UFC featherweight champion Elijah Topuria explained why he won't give former belt holder Alexander Volkanovski a rematch.

"A duel with Volkanovski? It's an interesting confrontation. But I myself wouldn't want to fight Volkanovski again. I'm ready to give him a rematch, as promised, but I know exactly how the second fight will turn out - just like the first one.

I'm the face of the new generation of MMA fighters, and I bring with me skills that he's not ready for. Maybe in the rematch I can beat him with a submission rather than a knockout. Purely so I can put snippets of both fights in the promos. They say we're gonna fight in Miami? I haven't signed anything yet," Topuria said in an interview with Fox Sports Australia.

Recall that Topuria knocked out Volkanovski last February.
