UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis has revealed the condition under which he will fight Islam Makhachev.
"It was a good effort - he did well. Right now he won't get that fight as it doesn't make sense. But if there comes a time when I run out of challenges and he has no one to fight, we can do it. That would be cool. Yes, he trains in the gym with middleweights, but there is only one world champion. Honor and praise him for saying that, but it doesn't really matter because I'll take him over him in any situation. I know he weighs a lot more between fights, but I weigh more too. He's a big lightweight and I'm a big middleweight. It's a huge difference."
