Makhachev's coach asks UFC not to punish Tsarukyan

Javier Mendes, coach of UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, has asked the promotion not to penalize Arman Tsarukyan, who withdrew from the fight against his charge just a couple days prior.

"I feel sorry for him, because it reminds me of how a similar thing happened to Khabib. The same thing happened to him. So I wish Arman a speedy recovery, and I hope he doesn't have to have another fight before he fights for the title. I hope the UFC will give him that opportunity."

Recall, earlier Dana White said that Tsarukyan lost the title challenger for the title fight.
