American Airlines has made an official statement regarding Khabib

"As a result of the customer's initial unresponsiveness and his repeated refusals to change seats, he was asked to leave the airplane in accordance with airline policy and security regulations. The decision to disembark the customer had nothing to do with his ethnicity and we refunded him and his traveling companions for the flight."
