Dricus Du Plessis, UFC middleweight champion, made fun of Hamzat Chimaev. Dricus posted a photo with a shark on social media, writing that it was his new sparring partner. One fan commented, advising the fighter to "not kiss the shark on the lips".

Dricus replied as follows:

"Absolutely not. Hamzat tried, and look what happened," Du Plessis hinted at Chimaev's upper lip injury.
