Aljamain Sterling, former UFC lightweight champion, has not ruled out that he may end his career.
"I need to recover a little bit, but at 35, I don't know if I want to climb that ladder again. While I don't have to do it from scratch, the end goal has gotten a lot farther. I'm at a point where I have to decide, is it worth the time spent in surgery, pain, training and sacrifice? Will I keep going, or will I just help guys prepare for fights, maybe taking fights for fun? I don't know. I don't want to retire, but I have to see what the UFC offers and based on that, decide how to proceed. It's hard for me to even talk about it because I'm only 35 years old."
