Jon Jones, UFC heavyweight champion, explained why he doesn't take fights on short notice.
"Why don't fighters watch fight footage? I don't know, sometimes it's disturbing, makes the situation more tangible. Some prefer to focus solely on the work in the gym. I like to watch the tapes. In high school I didn't study at all, when I took tests it turned into a lottery. I tried to remember the teacher's words... But as an adult, I wanted control, and studying was the way to get it. And I studied my opponents a lot. That's why I don't fight on short notice," Jones told YouTube channel Nina Drama.
