Top UFC Brazilian welterweight Diego Lopez has stated that he may move up to the lightweight division in the future.
"My goal is to fight as often as possible. I want to be as active as possible in the UFC. And I've already notified the UFC management that in the future I might move to lightweight. Not now, but in 2-3 years. There I will earn money for a secure old age.
If I move to lightweight, I am unlikely to return to welterweight. Everything will depend on how my body will react to the next weight race. I'm about to turn 30 and sometimes weight races don't go so smoothly. In the future I would like to race less weight and more enjoy the process of preparation for the fight," - quotes the Brazilian Ag Fight.
Recall that in September, Lopez confidently won against Brian Ortega.
