Aspinall: 'UFC 308 main event results hurt my soul'

UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall said he was upset by the defeats of Robert Whittaker and Max Holloway at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Recall that Whittaker lost by painful submission to Hamzat Chimaev, and Holloway was knocked out by Elijah Topuria.

"This tournament featured two unqualified favorites with big names, Robert Whittaker in the co-feature of the evening and Max Holloway in the main event. And the results of their fights certainly hurt my soul a little bit. I'm crazy about these guys. Oh, and 99% of UFC fans love them too. And so our dudes lost. But you gotta hand it to their winners, Khamzat Chimaev and Ilia Topuria," Aspinall said on his YouTube channel.
